Career
Javier Pérez specializes in civil litigation in competition law (private enforcement). He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in complex proceedings before the Spanish courts, ranging from individual claims to class actions, and has been involved in some of the most prominent antitrust cases in Spain over the past decade. His experience includes disputes arising from cartels, vertical restraints, and abuses of dominance, in both follow-on and stand-alone damages actions, across sectors such as paper, corrugated cardboard, dairy, energy, and digital markets.
He also has extensive experience in administrative litigation in competition matters, as well as in complex claims involving unfair competition, regulated industries, and state aid.
Javier has taught competition law and public international law, and is active in pro bono work, including strategic litigation projects.
