He is the Head of the Energy Area of Practice of MVA Asociados, covering the areas of legal advice of interest in the Spanish energy sectors (power, gas and oil): regulatory rules; corporate contracts and M&A, real estate, construction and procurement and arbitration. He has worked on major deals in the Spanish energy markets since 1999. He advises Spanish and International companies and investors on an ongoing basis on various aspects of energy regulations and relations with the Public Authorities, in the process for authorizing, developing, financing and acquisition of all type of energy-related assets, specially renewable (wind, hydro, solar, biomass, solid urban waste, etc.) and including storage and green hydrogen.
In September 1999, he joined Gómez-Acebo & Pombo. During years 2006 to 2012, headed the Energy area of Garayar Asociados. In December 2012 he founded MVA Asociados.
Member of the Madrid Bar Association and AEDEN.
He speaks regularly in postgraduate programs in the Spanish Energy Club (ENERCLUB).
Law degree (LLB) and business administration diploma (ICADE; E-1 law degree, corporate legal advisor; 1996) 1st Advanced Course in Energy Law at the IE (2002). He speaks Spanish and English.
