Helena Tapp Barroso

Helena Tapp Barroso joined the firm in 2006. She is co-coordinator of the insurance, reinsurance and pension fund team, a member of the data protection team and also a member of the employment, pensions and immigration team. Helena develops relevant activity providing legal counseling in data protection and labour law, assisting clients in different business areas (insurance and pension funds, banking and financial activities, TMT’s, distribution and automotive). Assists companies in setting-up privacy and (data protection), “compliance” policies, practices and solutions for personal data protection and GDPR conformity. Has wide experience in labour litigation, transactions and dispute resolution, collective agreement negotiation, pension schemes and labour counseling, including in transfer and restructuring operations.

Portuguese Bar Association. International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Author and co-author of articles in specialised publications.

Law degree. Master's degree in corporate law and capital markets (Portuguese Catholic University). Certified Information Privacy Professional / Europe (CIPP/E).
