Guillermo Sosa is a Senior Partner at the firm. He joined the firm in 2003 and leads the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice, overseeing a broad range of administrative proceedings and legal challenges involving trademarks, patents, copyrights, domain name disputes, and regulatory matters. His practice includes representing clients before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), the Federal Court of Administrative Justice, the Federal Collegiate Circuit Courts, and the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation.
In addition to his intellectual property and regulatory litigation practice, Guillermo heads the firm's Anti-Counterfeiting Practice, working closely with authorities such as the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), customs authorities, and the Attorney General's Office of Mexico to protect and enforce clients' intellectual property rights.
Guillermo serves on the Board of Directors of the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI), where he is currently serving his second term as a Board Member and acts as Coordinator of Working Committees. AMPPI is widely recognized as Mexico's leading professional association dedicated to intellectual property law. Guillermo has also been AMPPI Certified, in recognition of his extensive experience and expertise in the field.
He is also a member of several national and international professional organizations, including the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI), the Bar Association of Mexico, the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI), the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), and the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA).
Committed to promoting legal education, Guillermo frequently participates as a speaker and panelist at conferences and academic events organized by universities throughout Mexico, where he shares his expertise with the next generation of legal professionals. In addition, he oversees the firm's Dispute Resolution Practice, supervising civil, commercial, administrative, and strategic litigation matters, drawing on his extensive experience as a trial lawyer.
