Gregory Boyle

Greg Boyle defends clients in litigation and government investigations involving complex financial products. Greg often works closely with the firm’s Investigation, Compliance and Defense Practice on investigations conducted by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Securities Exchange Commission, and the Department of Justice. His complex litigation experience includes defending securities and derivatives market-related matters and trying cutting-edge trade secret matters for financial firms. He is a co-chair of the firm’s Markets and Trading practice.

Greg is deeply committed to pro bono work and non-profit leadership. As President of the Chicago Bar Foundation, Greg brings together Chicago’s legal community to improve access to justice for those in need and to make the legal system fairer and more efficient for everyone. He also serves as a director of the Eurasia Group Foundation, which provides education on how the complexities of geopolitics impacts daily lives. In his active pro bono practice, Greg has tried criminal matters and asylum cases and secured relief for prisoners in state and federal habeas matters. He also serves on the firm’s Pro Bono Committee.
