Recent work: Acted in Meridian Trust Company and others v Eike Batista. The case concerned a fraud claim made by investors in bonds in a Brazilian oil company. The allegation was that the chair of the company, Eike Batista, had intentionally misled capital markets in a fraud that led to losses of USD60 billion.
