Gordon Cameron is a partner in our Calgary office. His practice focuses on corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate governance and general corporate matters. He acts for both issuers and dealers in public and private, domestic and cross-border, debt and equity corporate finance transactions. He also acts for vendors and purchasers in high-priority public and private M&A deals. In addition, Gordon leads initiatives for foreign investors, including sovereign wealth funds and state-owned enterprises, in respect of acquisitions and investments in Canada.
Gordon acts for some of the firm’s most important clients in Alberta and nationwide. A significant portion of Gordon’s practice focuses on start-up companies, particularly in the technology, cannabis, agriculture and oil and gas sectors, relating to the founding, capitalization, and value creation and maximization strategies of such businesses.
Recent work samples include advising Pengrowth Energy Corporation in its arrangement agreement to be acquired by Cona Resources, and advising Four20 in its proposed acquisition by Tilray Inc.
