Gonzalo has more than 14 years’ experience in Energy and Administrative Law. He specializes on various aspects of energy law, including regulatory matters, transactional issues, due diligence, local and cross-border disputes, among others. He is also a very knowledgeable administrative law attorney with extensive experience representing clients in a wide range of complex public law cases, including, governmental contracts, legal disputes and regulatory matters.
At present, his practice is currently focused on power transactions and regulatory compliance, advising clients in connection with renewable, thermal, biomass, hydropower and co-generation projects.
Career
Gonzalo is a partner in Marval O’Farrrell Mairal Energy and Administrative Law departments and he joined the firm in 2009.
He is a lawyer graduated from Universidad de Buenos Aires, took a Master in Law and Economics from Universidad Di Tella and was an international student at University of Texas at Austin. He has published several articles within his areas of practice, and he is currently a post-graduate professor of energy law at Universidad Católica Argentina.
