Frank Aase

Frank C. Aase is known for his expertise in restructuring and insolvency, banking/finance, and bankruptcy.

Frank has extensive experience assisting companies facing financial challenges. He provides support to banking and company clients as well as advice to various creditors about how to safeguard their interests.

Frank has considerable experience helping companies and creditors with restructuring/ reconstruction, capital injections, and other insolvency-related issues. He is also a specialist in board liability and has given several lectures on the subject to other lawyers through Advokatenes HR. He has broad knowledge about business and served as managing partner of Brækhus Advokatfirma.

Previously Frank has worked as an in-house lawyer for one of the largest banks in the Nordic region, Nordea, where he primarily supported the bank’s bad debt department. He has wide experience in financial restructuring, securing credit arrangements , default management, and various loss-reducing measures. He regularly gives lectures at various banks on loss limitation and risk management for exposed/defaulted engagements.

For the past eight years, Frank has been a member of the Norwegian Bar Association’s law committee for liens, bankruptcy, enforcement, voluntary arrangement and debt collection, serving the last two years as the committee’s chairman. Additionally, he is regularly appointed as a trustee in bankruptcy at the Oslo District Court handling a large number of bankruptcies every year.
