Gunnar Espeland possesses extensive experience in commercial contractual relationships at all stages—from contract execution, through implementation, to conclusion/dispute resolution—particularly in the fields of production, technology development, manufacturing, and the delivery of goods, services, and facilities (e.g., rigs/maritime mobile units) within the energy sector, construction, defense industry, and maritime sector.
Gunnar has specialized expertise in industry-specific contract regulations. He served as a member of the negotiation committee for Offshore Norway (formerly Norwegian Oil and Gas) in establishing the 2015 standard contracts for deliveries in the energy sector (NTK 2015/EPCI standard contracts). Over the years, Gunnar has assisted in major land-based construction projects (including the construction of industrial plants and hospitals), as well as offshore construction projects in the energy sector, involving new builds («greenfield»), modifications («brownfield»), facility decommissioning, subsea construction projects, and renewable energy projects, along with associated procurement for the purchaser’s project and operational organization.
