Francis has a private client practice focused on trusts and estates. Recent cases have included Gee v Gee [2022] EWHC 1369 (Ch) on enforcement of orders relating to proprietary estoppel, re Cadogan [2021] WTLR 411 on accounting on a footing of wilful default, re Clarke [2019] EWHC 1193 (Ch) on rescission for mistake and the claims under the Inheritance Act, and re Thornton [2017] EWHC 769 (Ch) on knowledge and approval, probate undue influence, and executor removal.
Career
Called 2013. Former teaching fellow at UCL and lecturer at St Catherine’s College, Oxford (teaching trusts). Former consultant at the private client department of McDermott Will & Emery UK LLP. Appointed to the Attorney General’s C-Panel of Junior Counsel to the Crown.
