Career
Emma specialises in Cayman Islands investment funds and has broad experience advising on all aspects of hedge and private equity structures. A partner in Ogier's multi-disciplinary Private Equity team, Emma advises a range of private equity sponsors and investors. She also has extensive experience advising hedge fund managers, major financial institutions, investors and their onshore counsel on the establishment, regulation, corporate governance and ongoing operation and regulatory compliance of Cayman investment funds.
In addition to having a particular specialism in hedge funds, Emma also regularly advises clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters including restructurings, mergers as well as listings on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.
Before joining Ogier in 2017, Emma spent ten years working in the Investment Funds team of another leading international law firm in the Cayman Islands. Prior to that she spent three years working in the M&A team of SJ Berwin LLP (subsequently King & Wood Mallesons) gaining extensive experience in corporate finance M&A, both public and private.
