Edona is a Partner at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP’s Toronto office. She represents a broad spectrum of clients on regional, national, and international engagements. Her experience includes disputes and regulatory matters throughout Canada and coordinating with other jurisdictions including the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, and South America. She is an advocate and trusted advisor to national and multinational manufacturers, distributors, retailers, suppliers, distributors, public authorities, and insurers, across a number of industries, including health care and life sciences, automotive, transport, construction and infrastructure.

In addition to representing her clients’ interests as litigation counsel in disputes in singleton, class proceedings and arbitration matters throughout Canada, Edona advises clients on regulatory product compliance matters in relation to consumer products, medical devices, pharmaceutical products, automotive, heavy machinery, as well as regulatory and compliance issues surrounding products embedding features of artificial intelligence and internet of things.

Beyond her practice of law, Edona is passionate about engagement in the legal profession domestically and abroad. She has served on the Board of the Toronto Lawyers Association and chaired its Membership Committee championing issues of civility and diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. Edona also serves as an Officer of the Product Law & Advertising Committee of the International Bar Association, the Drug & Medical Device Leadership Committee of the Defence Research Institute, and the Product Liability Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association.
