Drew Fine is a partner in the New York office of Milbank. Mr. Fine is Chair of Milbank's Finance Practice and Chair of the firm's Transportation and Space Group. Mr. Fine has extensive experience in a wide variety of international financial and corporate transactions, including public offerings and private placement of securities (equipment notes, enhanced equipment trust certificates (EETCs), ABS), acquisitions, loyalty financings, leveraged leasing, secured and unsecured lending, cross-border financings, structured financings, restructurings, workouts and credit enhancements.
Mr. Fine has particular experience in financings and corporate transactions involving aircraft, rolling stock and vessels. He has worked on several of the most significant ABS and financings involving aircraft and railcars, including many transactions that have won “Deal of the Year” awards from industry publications. He has also participated in the evolution of the EETC over the years, including working on the first pre-funded EETC. Another area of specialization for Mr. Fine is representing clients in connection with the acquisition or disposition of leasing companies and large portfolios of aircraft and rolling stock.
Mr. Fine has lectured widely on the subject of aircraft financing and leasing and has been published on numerous occasions in Airfinance Journal. Mr. Fine is recognized as a Hall of Fame lawyer for Aviation and Air Travel: Finance by Legal 500 USA, and he is consistently ranked in the "Band 1" tier of Aviation Finance lawyers in Chambers USA and Chambers Global. He is also listed in the Guide to the World’s Leading Aviation Lawyers and The International Who’s Who of Aviation Lawyers.
