INDIRECT SEX DISCRIMINATION

Mrs G Dobson v North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust UKEAT/0220/19 – Member of legal team in landmark decision that judicial notice of child care disparity may be taken into account in claims of indirect sex discrimination.

PROTECTED PHILOSOPHICAL BELIEF

Mr J Casamitijana Costa v The League Against Cruet Sports -3331129/2018 – Member of legal team in landmark decision that established veganism as a protected philosophical belief.

PARENTAL LEAVE

Rodway v South Central Trains Ltd [2005] IRLR 583 (CA) – Exposed a reform in the law which only allowed parental leave to be taken in blocks of one week leave.

UNFAIR DISMISSAL

Christopher Barrett v London Underground – Case in the national media and succeeded in unfair dismissal case where tube driver sacked for playing squash whilst on sick leave from work with a sprained ankle.
