He is a member of the Chicago Central Area Committee, a group of civic leaders dedicated to the economic development of Chicago's downtown community. He was a guest lecturer for the real estate program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and is a past member of the firm's Policy and Management Committees.
