Diego Garay joined Larrain y Asociados in 2008 and is a partner since 2022. His practice is focused primarily in banking and finance, project finance, corporate law, and capital markets.
Previously he worked at the Prosecutor Group Enjoy S.A. (2007-2008) and between 2013 and 2014 he served as foreign associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, New York, U.S.A.
Between 2008 and 2011 he was an Assistant Professor of Securities Market at the Faculty of Law in Universidad de Chile.
Member of the Chilean Bar Association.
He studied Law at Universidad de Chile, getting his degree (LL.B.) in 2007. In 2006 he received the "Constitutional Court Prize" awarded by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Chile for his Thesis entitled “Conflict Law-Regulation, Existing Constitutional Jurisprudence”. In 2013 he obtained a Master Degree in Law (LL.M.) at Cornell University, Ithaca, USA.
