Diana Salazar

Diana Salazar is a counselor at Posse Herrera Ruiz. Her professional practice focuses on natural resources and energy as well as insurance.

She has worked in the mining sector in Australia and Colombia, advising mining companies in relation to various exploration and exploitation projects, with an emphasis on the contracts and agreements required for the construction and commissioning of mining projects, such as EPCM contracts, EPC, works and supply, insurance and agreements with the communities within the area of ​​influence of the projects, as well as in relation to compliance with the requirements derived from concession contracts and environmental licenses.

Diana advises clients on insurance and reinsurance matters, particularly in the analysis of coverage, claims, and denials, writing insurance policies, and auditing of coverage in different industries, as well as advising on regulatory matters.

Before joining Posse Herrera Ruiz, she was Legal Manager of the Colombian branches of Tigers Realm Minerals Pty Ltd and Tigers Realm Coal Ltd., legal advisor to Uranium One Australia Pty Ltd, and associated for more than 10 years in a local law firm of lawyers specialized in providing advice on insurance and reinsurance matters. Additionally, she worked with Siemens in project development in Valencia, Spain.
