Carolina Posada co-heads the Dispute Resolution practice at Posse Herrera Ruiz and is one of the most influential voices in arbitration and litigation in Colombia. With over 28 years leading high-profile cases, Carolina has successfully represented domestic and international clients before civil and administrative courts, as well as arbitral tribunals in Colombia and abroad. Her experience spans contractual liability, damages, insurance and reinsurance, distribution agreements, corporate and M&A disputes, construction, and infrastructure, among other areas critical to business operations.
She is a listed arbitrator at the Arbitration Centers of Colombia's leading Chambers of Commerce, the Superintendency of Companies, and AMCHAM Peru. She also serves as a sports arbitrator for the Dispute Resolution Chamber of the Colombian Football Federation and the Cali Chamber of Commerce. She has acted as chair, co-arbitrator, and sole arbitrator in numerous proceedings under various rules, giving her a unique perspective from both the advocate's and decision-maker's standpoint.
Carolina represents Colombia as a delegate of the Colombian Arbitration Commission to the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and is an active member of the Latin American Arbitration Association (ALARB). Her recognition extends beyond borders: she has been called upon as an expert on Colombian law before state courts in the United States and Switzerland.
