Denes practises all aspects of Canadian antitrust/competition law, foreign investment law and advertising and marketing law. He is a trusted strategic advisor to clients on critical antitrust matters including merger clearance, cartels, all aspects of competition compliance and foreign investment review, including national security reviews of acquisitions by state-owned enterprises and in critical sectors, and reviews of the acquisitions of cultural businesses. He also litigates class action claims, often in multi-jurisdictional cases, against clients relating to alleged violations of the cartel and misleading advertising provisions of the Competition Act, and also litigates and provides advice on various other regulatory matters.
