A Co-Chair of Gibson Dunn’s Insurance and Reinsurance Practice Group, Deborah is a nationally-recognized litigator who clients turn to when they feel like everything is on the line. She has been successfully litigating game-changing cases for some of the country’s largest insurance companies for over two decades. Deborah has significant class action experience, and represents insurance companies in a wide range of disputes. By way of example, she has counseled on and litigated COVID-19 claims, first-party claims following natural and manmade disasters, life insurance pricing and lapse disputes, “long tail” and other commercial general liability claims, professional liability exposures, construction defect claims, and Medicare Secondary Payer Act issues relating to liability and no-fault insurance.
Deborah joined Gibson Dunn in 2019. Prior to joining the Firm, she was a partner at the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. She served as a law clerk for the Hon. Peter C. Dorsey in the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.
