David A.N. Lever is a senior counsel in McCarthy Tétrault’s Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions Group in Toronto. In addition, he is Co-Industry Group Leader of the firm’s Infrastructure Group and Co-Head of the firm’s Projects practice.
Known for his expertise in M&A and project finance and development, David is recognized as one of Canada’s leading experts in the power industry. He has acted for developers, investors and lenders in connection with nuclear, wind, solar, gas, biomass, landfill gas and hydro power projects in Canada and abroad.
David has provided counsel in the areas of development, financing, contract negotiation, construction, permitting and regulatory matters and ownership structures. He has extensive experience in financings in both public and private markets. David also has significant experience in the purchase and sale of businesses in the energy industry.
In addition to his work in the energy industry, David also provides strategic counsel in the development, construction and financing of infrastructure projects and in the defence sector.
