David is Partner in WFW’s Madrid Regulatory & Public Law group, mainly dedicated to Energy and Infrastructure.
He has an extensive experience advising both industrial companies, infrastructure and private equity funds in the electricity and gas sectors. With over 18 years of experience, he is constantly involved in a host of high-profile transactions for the financing, sale and purchase and legalization of all types of renewable energy facilities (wind, PV, biomass and thermosolar). He also advises private and public entities on environment and public procurement matters. He is also involved in project development, from early stages to ready to build and COD.
David is particularly skilled in complex litigation matters in the energy sector, grid access conflicts, as well as in the structuring and negotiation of power purchase agreements - PPA.
He regularly participates as speaker in several universities, seminars and conferences on energy and environmental law, to share his views and knowledge in relation to regulatory matters in the electricity and gas sector.
Since 2014 David is Secretary to the Board of the Spanish Photovoltaic Association–UNEF. David is a founding partner of AEDEN, the Spanish Association of Energy Law.
