Brussels based partner Inge Vanderreken advises clients on the full range of employment and incentive matters. She provides strategic advice and practical solutions whenever clients are faced with changes in the market, in regulations or within the organisation. Inge also assists clients on the employment aspects of corporate and outsourcing transactions and has considerable expertise on data protection and privacy issues. She also represents clients in court when required.
Her particular areas of expertise include employee benefits and incentives, workforce restructuring, redundancies and work councils. She regularly advises local and international clients on multi-jurisdictional employment matters and cross-border work councils (e.g. European work councils). She has also extensive experience in conducting and advising on HR investigations for multinational companies, covering a range of issues such as misconduct, harassment, fraud, whistleblowing and compliance.
Clients favour her negotiation skills and her understanding of the business dimension, praising her ‘business acumen’ in the legal directories.
She has published and lectured on various aspects of employment law and incentives, including restructuring, outsourcing, incentive schemes, discrimination and privacy issues, and multi-jurisdictional employment matters. She is a member of the Board of the Brussels ""Labour Law Association"" (a group comprising in-house counsel, practising lawyers, magistrates and judges, all specialising in employment law) and a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA).
