David B Walters

Has extensive experience in all aspects of employee benefits and executive compensation law. His experience includes designing, drafting, implementing and counseling clients regarding a broad range tax qualified retirement, equity based and non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements. He has also consulted with clients regarding compliance issues as they arise with respect to the operation of employee pension benefit plans. He regularly represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service, Employee Benefit Security Administration and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. He was a 2020 Best Lawyers in America "Lawyer of the Year" for Employee Benefits. Co-Chair of Bodman's Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group and participates in the Firm’s Tax Group.
