Represents banks and other financial institutions in pre-bankruptcy workouts, commercial bankruptcy cases, and troubled credit situations. Represents financial institutions in court proceedings, sale of debt transactions, foreclosures, liquidation of assets, and forbearance arrangements. Represents numerous automotive and manufacturing clients in bankruptcy and troubled supplier situations. Has represented trustees, creditors’ committees, non-bank creditors and various debtors in all aspects of bankruptcy cases and debtor-creditor disputes. Assists the firm’s loan origination lawyers in structuring and documenting complex loan transactions, and represents parties in the purchase of assets from trustees, receivers, debtors in possession, and from troubled companies. He was the Best Lawyers in America 2020 Detroit Lawyer of the Year for Bankruptcy and Debtor-Creditor Rights. Has been listed as one of the Top 100 attorneys in Michigan by Michigan Super Lawyers.
