He has been assistant professor of commercial law at the Law School in Bologna and professor of comparative private law at the University of Ferrara.

He has been the author of monographs and articles on corporate matters and a speaker at numerous conferences. As a member of a commission at the Ministry of Justice, he has participated in the drafting of law projects on corporate matters.
He has shared the activity of lawyer with the passion for sport as a pilot first of racing motorboats (with a title of class 3 offshore world champion) and then of historic racing cars.
