Cristian is a real estate partner, advising international and local clients across the entire spectrum of real estate matters, including FIDIC agreements.

As real estate partner with Eversheds Sutherland’s Bucharest office, Cristian is the head of the real estate, construction and engineering practices. He has significant experience in corporate real estate, real estate development, real estate finance and investment, real estate planning, construction and engineering, advising international and local clients in many high-profile transactions. Cristian also advises in relation to negotiation of FIDIC agreements and acts as support to various DABs/ arbitrators in dispute proceedings.

Cristian frequently assists clients on the structuring, financing and management of real estate transactions. Whether an investor, developer, tenant or borrower, Cristian can help you in all aspects of real estate, advising you on a broad range of local and cross-border transactions, with focus on: real estate acquisitions, commercial lease agreements, construction law (including FIDIC regulated agreements), real estate finance and due diligence reviews. The portfolio of clients includes international retailers, owners and asset managers of shopping centres and other retail, industrial or office properties.

Cristian and his team have been involved in complex FIDIC contracts, involving advice, review and drafting of particular conditions, localisation of such agreements and tailoring them according to the specific construction framework. Moreover, he contributes significantly to consolidating the firm’s real estate client base in this practice area and also securing longstanding confidence from other major players across various industries and sectors (including shopping centres and retail sectors, automotive, telecommunications, sports, rent a car, IT, aviation, office, FMCG).

The firm’s real estate practice is the preferred real estate legal advisor for various key players in commercial real estate business. Moreover, in the past five years, Cristian has coordinated a series of large-scale real estate transaction in Romania and CEE, including several direct acquisitions of approx. 530.000 sqm to be further developed into shopping centres in Romania.
