Practice Areas
Christina MacDougall, a partner in the intellectual property practice, brings an active background in the life sciences, chemistry, and healthcare to her work. She advises clients on patent counseling, global prosecution strategies (including portfolio management), opinions, and due diligence in the life sciences and related technology fields. This includes conducting invalidity and patentability searches and analyses for biochemical, molecular biological, and pharmaceutical products and processes. Clients rely on her to draft patent applications and analyze patent landscapes regarding competitive diligence and freedom to operate.
Before joining Morgan Lewis, she was an associate at another major law firm. There, she counseled clients that included startups, international biotechnology and drug discovery companies, and academic institutions, among others.
While working toward her Ph.D., she studied complex issues related to DNA damage recognition, and as an undergrad, she examined the cellular growth of prostate and other forms of cancer.
