Carolina Morón

Practice Areas

Carolina is Head of International Tax and Transactions at Mavens and specializes in national and international tax advice to companies and corporate groups, especially in the energy and real estate industries.

Carolina started her professional career in 2008, as a tax intern in several boutiques such as Diaz-Bastién y Truan Abogados and Consiliator. In 2011, she joined the tax department of Acciona Energía as international tax manager. In 2014, she joined the tax department of Repsol, where she held several positions, being promoted internally to the position of Tax Manager of Renewables and Retail businesses, specializing in the field of national and international tax advice as well as in M&A transactions and group restructurings.

At the end of 2023, she joined the Mavens tax team, specializing in corporate taxation, restructurings, tax due diligence, tax planning and international taxation.

Carolina combines the practice of law with teaching at Centro de Estudios Financieros, where she has been teaching her courses on international tax planning and legal and tax English since 2011.
