Career

Carlos focuses his practice on M&A, Private Equity and Real Estate. He advises large multinationals and private equity investors and sponsors on acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and divestitures in Mexico in multiple industries and sectors. He has represented pension funds, private equity funds and other investors in their real estate investments, including acquisitions, strategic joint ventures, development and management of their assets in Mexico. In doing so, Carlos has handled matters for clients including ACCO Brands Corporation, Apex Tool Group, Eberspächer Group Companies, Nord Anglia Education, RLH Properties, BK Partners, MIRA, Artha Capital and PGIM Real Estate, He leads the Corporate Social Responsibility and ProBono program and is very active promoting pro-bono and abroad. Also serves as an active member of the governing bodies of Centro Mexicano ProBono, Fundación Appleseed Mexico and the Lawyers Council for Civil and Economic Rights in the Americas. Carlos worked as a foreign associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Cuatrecasas.

Carlos obtained his law degree (JD) from Universidad Anahuac, a LL.M degree from Northwestern University School of Law and a Certificate in Business Administration from the Kelogg School of Management.
