Carlos Albiñana

Carlos Albiñana, head of the tax practice in Jones Day’s Madrid Office, has advised leading MNEs, pension funds, international funds and domestic clients on the tax aspects of a wide range of transactions for more than 30 years. He has considerable experience in the financial, industrial, energy, infrastructure and real estate sectors. His areas of tax expertise include M&A real estate and real estate finance, M&A, private equity, general lending, project and asset finance, restructuring, securitization, derivatives, incentive schemes, domestic and international tax planning and tax litigation. He is part of the international tax team at Jones Day regularly working on cross-border transactions. He regularly collaborates as a speaker in specialized tax seminars and conferences and is a lecturer at IE Law School.
