Camilo is a graduate of the School of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and is admitted to practice in Colombia by the Consejo Superior de la Judicatura (2012) and in the State of New York, United States of America (2017). He obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the School of Law of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Additionally, he has a postgraduate degree diploma on Labor and Employment Law from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. He currently alternates his work with teaching Employment Law at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and is a professional in the Labor Law Diploma at Universidad de La Sabana.

He has advised national and international companies in matters of individual and collective labor law and social security law. He has provided advice on the labor structuring of large mergers and acquisitions projects, as well as on the pension normalization of important companies. He has also represented his clients in judicial and administrative litigation, where he has extensive experience. Since joining Brigard Urrutia, he has accompanied clients in collective bargaining processes with different unions.
