Alejandro García de Brigard

Antitrust and Competition; Corporate M&A

Mr. García joined the firm in 2002. He is in charge of Brigard Urrutia’s office in Cali and leads the firm's Antitrust and Competition Law practice. He has experience in all areas of antitrust law, including merger control, cartels and leniency, abuse of dominance, and unfair competition.

Mr. García is also a member of the firm's Corporate and M&A team, advising local and foreign companies in general corporate matters and M&A transactions. Mr. Garcia is admitted to practice in Colombia (2005) and in the state of New York (2009). He worked as foreign lawyer in White & Case's New York office.

Lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, he holds a B.S. degree in Military Sciences (and the rank of Second Lieutenant - Rsv. of the Colombian Army) and a LL.M degree from the School of Law of New York University.
