Camilla advises on M&A, joint ventures, equity fundraisings and general corporate matters, as well as specialising in co-operatives, community benefit societies and alternative structures.

She leads our Corporate Energy practice, and is a core member of the firm’s Energy & Utilities and Infrastructure sector teams. She advises developers, utilities, investors and funders on the full suite of clean energy technologies, as well as on broader Net Zero and sustainability projects.

Camilla is ranked as a Leading Partner in the Legal 500 and in Band 2 for M&A in Chambers & Partners.

Career

Trained at Burges Salmon; qualified in 2000; partner since 2008.

Contributed a chapter entitled ‘Farmer-Controlled Businesses’ to ‘The Pink Book 2: The Burges Salmon Guide for Landowners and Farmers’.

Experience

Octopus Energy Generation: Advising funds managed by Octopus Energy Generation on various M&A and JV deals involving biomass, solar, BESS, wind, pumped storage hydro and reserve power assets.

Atrato Onsite Energy PLC: Advising on multiple M&A deals involving commercial and residential rooftop portfolios, as well as ground mounted solar projects.

KIRKBI A/S: Advising on its participation in a £300 million funding package for pioneering energy storage company, Highview Power, which is developing the UK’s first commercial-scale LAES plant.

Bristol City Council: Advising on its ground-breaking ‘City Leap’ initiative, a project to secure a strategic partner to help Bristol to realise its ambition to become a carbon neutral city by 2030.

Ripple Energy: Advising this disruptor energy supplier on its ground-breaking and innovative co-ownership model and on M&A deals.

Ocean Winds: Advising on its strategic partnership with Ignitis Group to develop offshore wind projects in the Lithuanian Baltic Sea.
