Danny is a partner in the firm’s corporate finance team, having joined Burges Salmon’s new Scottish office in 2019. Danny specialises in corporate finance and company law, including M&A, joint ventures, private equity and restructurings. Danny covers a range of sectors, but with a particular focus on the energy sector (notably renewables), food and drink, technology and life sciences/pharma sectors. Recent experience includes:
advising private equity firm, Inverleith, on its acquisition of a majority stake in Eden Mill Gin; advising vertical farm developer, EiderVF, on a £50m equity investment by Slate Asset Management; advising Brookfield in connection with its 850MW of battery storage and 185MW co-located solar platform deal with Cambridge Power; advising Progressive Energy on its £1billion joint venture with Essar to build the UK’s largest hydrogen hub; advising Octopus Investments on its acquisition of Elivia Homes; advising oncology drug discovery accelerator, Cumulus Oncology, on a £4m equity investment.
