He is one of Canada’s leading corporate securities lawyers in Sports and Gaming Law, regularly advising foreign and domestic issuers and investment banks on regulatory and transactional matters, including initial public offerings (IPOs), reverse take-over transactions (RTOs), public and private financings, and mergers and acquisitions to help them capitalize on the rapidly evolving sports and gaming industries in Canada. With the legalization of a private sector gaming sector in Ontario in 2022, Mr. MacDonald has been at the forefront of all regulatory developments in Canada, advising new entrants on the legal and regulatory landscape associated with obtaining licenses and establishing Canadian offices and operations under this new regime.
