Head of Antitrust and Competition Practice Group. Partner at Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati since 2010. He is an expert in handling complex (Phase II) merger control proceedings before the European Commission and the Court of Justice of the European Union. Bernhard has been involved in numerous high profile cartel investigations and has advised clients in virtually all major cartel proceedings in Austria in recent years. He has vast experience of establishing national and international distribution networks under Austrian and European Union law (including selective distribution) and also advises clients on cartel damage claims as well as in connection with establishing sophisticated compliance management systems.
Member of the Austrian Bar Association and the „Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht“.
Bernhard has authored numerous publications on Austrian and European antitrust law and regularly publishes on competition law developments. His latest compliance handbook (Compliance-Management für Unternehmen, Bernhard Kofler-Senoner (Hrsg.), Verlag Österreich 2016).
He is a frequent speaker at antitrust & competition seminars and conferences.
