Ben has a substantial practice appearing before a variety of regulators including the GMC, GDC, GOC, RICS, NMC, and ACCA. He has appeared before the High Court on behalf of registrants, most recently in successfully resisting a GMC appeal in GMC v Awan  EWHC 1553. He has represented doctors accused of grooming violence, dishonesty and incompetence. He has dealt with high-profile cases including representing the nurse accused of falsifying the temperature of a colleague who contracted the Ebola virus. He has advised on judicial review of a regulator’s decision, and has conducted judicial reviews in the Administrative Count. Across the healthcare sector, Ben has dealt with cases including allegations of sexual and physical assaults on patients, sexual interest in children, theft, multiple clinical failings and behaviour issues. He also represents doctors and nurses at inquests, including a consultant anesthetist whose patient bled to death after a caesarian section. Ben maintains a Crown Court criminal practice and so is able to advise and represent clients on criminal matters. He was recently instructed as junior counsel in two murders at the Old Bailey.
