Bartosz Romanowski is a Partner and Head of Financial Institutions and Insurance at DWF Poland.

He joined the firm in January 2025 after spending over 15 years at the Warsaw office of Hogan Lovells, where he advised leading financial institutions, mostly insurance companies and banks, in various legal aspects of their day-to-day business activity.

He represents financial institutions in regulatory proceedings before relevant authorities, including the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) and the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK). He also successfully handles litigation before civil courts and administrative courts.

Bartosz has particular expertise in bancassurance—the legal framework governing cooperation between insurers and banks. His work includes structuring such partnerships, drafting and negotiating cooperation agreements, preparing insurance documentation (including general terms and conditions), advising on related M&A transactions, and navigating all relevant regulatory processes.
