Andrew D. Garelick specializes in mergers and acquisitions and private equity matters for a broad range of strategic and financial sponsor clients. Among other companies, Mr. Garelick advised The Walt Disney Company in its acquisition of Lucasfilm, its partnership with Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League to form the streaming media company BAMTech, and in its minority investment in Vice Media; Caesar Entertainment Corporation in a broad range of matters, including recently, in its settlement with Carl Icahn; and Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre, the principal shareholders of Beats Electronics, in its sale to Apple. Mr. Garelick also has extensive experience representing special committees, including recently, the special committees of AMC Entertainment and Caesars Acquisition Company. Mr. Garelick also represents private equity firms, including Oaktree Capital Management and its portfolio company AdvancePierre in its sale to Tyson Foods, Veritas Capital, Silver Point Capital and H.I.G. Bayside, among others.
