Andres joined Baker McKenzie in 2018 as head of the M&A practice group and private equity, since which he has taken part on some of the most relevant transactions both in Colombia and in Latin America. Before joining the Firm, Andres was Senior Vice President at Brookfield Asset Management Inc. where he was responsible for transaction execution activities and M&A undertakings in Latin America.
This includes private deals, government privatizations and several open market transactions such as share acquisitions and tender offers.
Andres worked two years in the Brookfield Infrastructure office in Sao Paulo, supervising several investments and assets in Brazil.
Additionally, he is board member of Isagen S.A, Grupo Carvajal S.A., Sociedad Concesionaria Vespucio Norte and Empresa de Energía de Boyaca S.A.(EBSA)."
