She is Co-Head of the Sports Law Team at 2HC and ranked as a leading barrister in Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500. She was recently shortlisted for Sports Junior of the Year at The Legal 500 UK Bar Awards 2024.
Amina spent over a decade at The Football Association (FA) as Head of the Regulatory Legal Department, advising and appearing in cases involving anti-doping, misconduct, betting, corruption, match-fixing, financial regulation, agents’ regulation, discrimination, and safeguarding. She has handled many high-profile football regulatory cases in the past decade.
She represents governing bodies, clubs and athletes and regularly sits on disciplinary and safeguarding panels for various sports.
Amina regularly appears in inquest proceedings and has acted for various interested parties during the inquest process. She also acts for both individuals and regulators in Professional Discipline proceedings, with particular experience representing police officers in gross misconduct proceedings.
Amina is a member of the Attorney General’s C Panel.
