Allyson Fischer is a Partner at Mathews Dinsdale’s Toronto office and a leading commercial employment litigator with more than 20 years of experience. She is recognized for her expertise in all types of injunctions, including restrictive covenants, breach of fiduciary duties, breach of confidence, Mareva injunctions to freeze assets, and labour injunctions to restrict picketing. Allyson frequently represents clients in wrongful dismissal actions involving executive-level employees as well as in complex commercial disputes, including those arising from partnership and shareholder agreements.
Known for her strategic and immediate responses in fast-moving cases, Allyson works closely with technology experts to ensure clients are positioned for success, particularly where electronic evidence is critical. She has negotiated numerous compliance protocols for departing employees, including the return and deletion of confidential documents and information. Allyson is often consulted by other lawyers on these issues and has served as an expert witness in cases across jurisdictions.
A passionate advocate with a proven record of courtroom success, Allyson has been recognized by Lexpert Rising Stars (2015), Best Lawyers in Canada (Labour and Employment, 2020–2023), and the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory (Employment Law, 2018–2021).
