Abid Qureshi, co-chair of Akin and co-head of the firm’s management committee, plays a crucial role in steering the firm's strategic growth. He is also a dedicated financial restructuring litigator, giving him comprehensive experience in virtually every issue that arises during a complex restructuring.

Abid has litigated cutting-edge issues in the highest-profile chapter 11 cases, complex restructuring-related issues in state and appellate courts, and has extensive experience in cross-border insolvencies and chapter 15 proceedings. Significant matters include Diamond Sports Group, Yellow Corporation, Enviva, Rudolph W. Giuliani, Revlon, Intelsat, Aeroméxico, Brazos Electric, GWG, Sears, PG&E, Frontier Communications, Avaya, GTT Communications, Scandinavian Airlines, Nordic Aviation, and Crédito Real to name a few.
