Restructuring:
Weil is one of the leading Restructuring firms in the world, consistently at the forefront of innovative restructurings. The reason is simple. Weil invented much of what has become standard practice in the restructuring field. For more than 45 years, Weil has played a pivotal role in defining this field by offering creative, practical and thoughtful solutions for its clients on both the debtor and creditor side. Weil's global Restructuring Department comprises more than 100 dedicated lawyers, including a significant number recognized as leaders in their field. The largest, most complex and most important restructuring matters in history require a truly international firm that can handle all aspects of the restructuring process in the United States, Europe, Middle East and Asia.

M&A:
With more than 700 corporate lawyers across the US, Europe and Asia, Weil is regularly involved in the largest and most complex transactions in the world. The Firm regularly ranks among the top-ten firms globally for volume of M&A transactions. Over the last five years, Weil has handled more than 1,900 deals totaling more than $3 trillion in deal value. In the last year alone, Weil has advised on more than 100 transactions larger than $1 billion for clients in a range of sectors and geographies.

Private Equity & Fund Formation:
Weil has been one of the pioneers of private equity law and is recognized by the industry as one of only a small number of elite, market leaders in this field. The firm represent many of the highest profile private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds and pension funds, as well as family offices and other equity financial investors. With more than 200 private equity lawyers worldwide, Weil advises more than 300 private equity clients, including 8 out of the 10 largest global private equity funds as ranked by PEI 300 2021. The firm's Private Funds Group is a market-leading practice specializing in the formation of private investment funds across varied sizes and investment strategies, including buyout funds, growth equity funds, infrastructure funds, real estate funds, credit funds, secondary funds and special situations funds. The firm raise funds for multibillion-dollar funds to middle-market funds to funds for emerging clients.
