Land Law Services: 

For clients who lease, own, manage, develop, or buy and sell real estate assets, the firm has assembled a team of more than 78 professionals with extensive experience in land law matters, including those covering the ownership or leasing of real estate and real property rights; real estate finance; land use and zoning; and real estate development, including affordable housing and community development; construction; crisis management and emergency response; energy, petroleum, telecommunications, and other utilities-related uses; and environmental, sustainability, and climate change matters.

Litigation Services: 

The firm’s extensive litigation capabilities are provided by a multi-disciplined group of nearly 100 lawyers who represent clients in all types of disputes, including antitrust/unfair competition; consumer class action defense; white-collar defense; bankruptcy and reorganizations; trade secrets; securities; breach of contract; employment litigation; intellectual property litigation; and data privacy and security. Additionally, the firm has deep experience in admiralty and maritime law; asbestos litigation; construction litigation; e-discovery and information management; health litigation; products liability; real estate litigation and title insurance matters; and matters pertaining to religious organizations. A particular strength of the firm is its insurance and reinsurance capability, which encompasses matters such as fidelity and surety; fire and explosion; large loss property subrogation; liability coverage; marine and inland marine; professional liability insurance; property insurance; and reinsurance and excess insurance. The firm’s lawyers are adept at putting clients in the position either to try their cases or to settle them if in their best interest. The firm also offers clients sophisticated capabilities in the areas of alternative dispute resolution and appellate matters.

Government Relations: 

The firm offers its clients services that encompass all aspects of administrative and legislative lobbying, issue and crisis management, press and public relations, and grass roots organizing in the states of New York and Connecticut. Strengthened by our addition of a leading New York-based government affairs firm, the newly-affiliated Roffe Group of Robinson+Cole, the firm’s lobbyists help clients achieve their objectives, whether they be the passage, defeat, or modification of legislation or regulations, financial assistance for a development project, or state or local government procurement of client products and services.
