The Head of the Intellectual Property practice group, Yvonne was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2002 and became a partner in 2011. As a registered Trademark Agent, Patent Agent and Industrial Designs Agent, she supervises and oversees a team of para-legals who assist in applications for registration of clients' intellectual property (IP) to the relevant registering authorities both in Malaysia and abroad. Yvonne advises on all types of IP issues, including brand strategising, IP commercialisation, licensing, franchising, IP policies and enforcement and undertaking litigation where necessary, so as to ensure that clients’ IP rights are duly registered or otherwise protected and enforced in accordance with the law. Her clients range from sole proprietorships to multinational companies which are household names.
Yvonne has been recognized as a leading intellectual property practitioner in the 2020 and 2021 editions of Chambers Asia Pacific.
