Yvon Martinet

Practice Areas

Yvon Martinet is Chairman of DS Avocats and the DS Group.

His experience has enabled him to acquire a cross-disciplinary approach to the law and a well-established practice in the field of industrial risks (Health, Safety, Health, Environment) both nationally and internationally.

He is regularly appointed as a mediator, third party conciliator by the parties to the contract or by judges, but also as an arbitrator.

He has been a director of the organisations Planète Urgence, Droits d'Urgence and Alliance pour les Droits de l'Homme, non-profit organisations involved in social economy.

Holding a CSRD sustainability auditor certificate, a training approved by H2A issued by Apava/Afnor, Yvon Martinet has extensive expertise in supporting companies to address CSR challenges (CSRD, taxonomy, duty of care...).

Yvon is a Knight of the National Order of Merit and former Vice-Bâtonnier of the Paris Bar Association (2012-2013). He is also a former Member of the Bar Council (2014-2016) and of the National Council of the Bars (1999-2001), member of the French delegation to the Council of the Bars of the European Union (CCBE) (1999-2004), representative of the Paris Bar on the board of the International Bar Association (IBA) (2002-2004), former President of the Environmental Lawyers' Club (CDAE) and former First Secretary of the Traineeship Conference (class of 1991).
