As a specialist in tax law, Mr. Hegawa advises on the tax law aspects of various financial and other transactions handled by the firm, and represents taxpayers in a number of tax audit and controversy cases. His practice exclusively focuses on taxation, and he has affluent practical experience on all spectrum of Japanese taxation, such as financing/capital markets transactions, taxation of wealthy individuals, international taxation on inbound investment by foreign-owned businesses, tax-free reorganizations, tax-efficient mergers and acquisitions and outbound investment by Japanese businesses, and transfer pricing.
